የመስቀል ክብረ በዓል በዓለም ቅርስነት መመዝገቡን ዩኔስኮ አስታወቀ፡፡

     ዩኔስኮ /UNESCO/ (Commemoration feast of the finding of the True Holy Cross of Christ) በሚል በዓሉን በዓለም ቅርስነት መመዝገቡን ኅዳር 25 ቀን ይፋ አድርጓል፡፡ ስለቅርሱ የመረመረው ኮሚቴ እንዳቀረበው ውሳኔ ፤የመስቀል ክብረ በዓል የኢትዮጵያን ሃይማኖታዊና ባህላዊ ትውፊቶች የያዘ፣ ከትውልድ ወደ ትውልድ ሲተላለፍ የመጣና በአገሪቱ ማኅበራዊ አንድነትና ትስስርን፣ ብዝኃነትንም የሚያንፀባርቅ፣ በበርካታ ብሔረሰቦች ባህሎች መካከል ትስስርን የፈጠረ በመሆኑ ዓለም አቀፍ መስፈርቱን አሟልቷል፡፡
   

    የዩኔስኮ  ኮሚቴው በረቡዕ ስብሰባው ከመስቀል ሌላ ከተለያዩ አገሮች 13 መንፈሳዊ ባህላዊ ቅርሶችን በሰው ዘር ቅርስነት መመዝገቡንም በድረ ገጹ ባወጣው መግለጫ አስታውቋል፡፡ በየዓመቱ መስከረም 17 ቀን በመላ አገሪቱየሚከበረው የመስቀል ክብረ በዓል የመጀመርያው መንፈሳዊ (Intangible) ባህላዊ ቅርስ ሆኖ በዩኔስኮ የተመዘገበላት ኢትዮጵያ፣ ዘጠኝ ግዙፍ (ታንጀብል) ቅርሶች ማስመዝገቧ ይታወቃል፡፡

    ኢትዮጵያ እስካሁን 9 የሚታዩና የሚዳሰሱ ቅርሶችን በአለም የቅርስ መዝገብ ያስመዘገበች ሲሆን የመስቀል በዓል ከማይዳሰሱ (Intangible) የአለም ቅርሶች መዝገብ 10ኛ ሆኖ መመዝገቡን የኢትዮጵያ የቅርስ ጥናትና ጥበቃ ባለስልጣን አስታውቋል፡፡

5. Lower Valley of the Awash (1980) የታችኛው የአዋሽ ሸለቆ
6. Lower Valley of the Omo (1980) የታችኛው የኦሞ ሸለቆ
7. Rock-Hewn Churches, Lalibela (1978)  የላሊበላ ውቅር አብያተ ክርስትያናት
8. Tiya (1980) የጥያ ፍልፍል ድንጋይና

      9. Simien National Park (1978) የሰሜን ተራሮች ብሄራዊ ፓርክን እስካሁን ያስመዘገበች ሲሆን የመስቀል በዓል ደግሞ 10ኛው ሆኗል፡፡

UNESCO just registered 'Meskel Festival' of Ethiopia as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity today on Decision 8.COM 8.11 ====================

Commemoration feast of the finding of the True Holy Cross of Christ - Ethiopia. The festival of Maskel is celebrated across Ethiopia on 26 September to commemorate the unearthing of the True Holy Cross of Christ. Celebrations centre around the burning of the Damera bonfire in Maskel Square in Addis Ababa. Hundreds of thousands of people from diverse communities flock to the square as colourfully dressed priests chant hymns and prayers and perform their unique rhythmic dance.

Maskel brings families and communities together from across the nation and promotes spiritual life through reconciliation, social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
